Have you entered the world of superfoods, but don’t know where to start or what mix to choose? Be More has put together the ABC of superfood mixes for you, summarising all the mixes in our product range and their benefits.
Why choose superfoods?
To reach and be more! Each added component is a superfood that contains more vitamins, antioxidants and minerals than average. Today’s average Estonian diet contains more processed food than it should, and the purity of the raw materials can often be of poor quality and poor in nutrients.
The fast pace of life, a monotonous menu and not knowing which foods to eat to meet your vitamin needs are some of the reasons to add superfoods to your daily menu.
In the Be More product range, you can find several superfood mixes with different functions and tastes, which are so easy to add to smoothies, porridge or yoghurt. The mixture is especially suitable for those who do not like to swallow vitamins in capsule form or who often simply forget to take them. However, the highly soluble powder full of superfoods gives the food a beautiful colour, a light taste and a sufficient daily amount of vitamins – and it’s so easy! So what to choose?
Against fatigue and to support the fast pace of life
To support a fast pace of life and an active lifestyle, Be More’s one of the first superfood mixes, Be Active, is perfectly suited, as the folic acid contained in it helps to reduce fatigue and exhaustion. The main ingredient of the mixture, beet, contains potassium, which contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and the regulation of the acid-alkaline balance in the blood. Beets are also known as a source of nitrates, which, being converted into nitric oxide in the digestive tract, have a good effect on blood pressure and also increase physical performance, allowing more energy for the muscles. Other ingredients such as blackcurrant, goji berry and camu-camu contain vitamin C, which contributes to energy metabolism and the normal functioning of the immune system. The chia seeds in the mix contain both omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids.
The Be Active mixture also contains a lot of fibre, 24 grams per 100 grams, which is why it is also suitable for people who are losing weight, helping to keep the stomach full longer. Due to the iron in the mixture, Be Active is also popular with pregnant and lactating mothers.
Taste: Berry tart
To strengthen the immune system
Vitamin bomb Be Healthy is especially popular during the period of various diseases and viruses, being a versatile immune booster. This superfood mix is a very good source of vitamin C, which helps heal wounds, increase the body’s resistance, prevent spring fatigue and stress, and increase iron absorption. Add 1 tablespoon to a smoothie, porridge or yoghurt and you already have your daily dose!
The main ingredient, blackcurrant, has many positive effects on the body, and the best known of them is a powerful boost to the immune system. The amount of vitamin C found in blackcurrant fruits or berries makes currant a superfood, being one of the berries growing in Estonia with the highest antioxidant content. Be Healthy also contains the popular folk medicine Chaga, a tree mushroom rich in phytonutrients and antioxidants, helping to reduce inflammation, for example. Camu-camu contains significant amounts of zinc and vitamin C. Lemon is also a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants, also normalising the body’s pH balance. Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 essential fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties. Thus, each added ingredient serves a worthy health-supporting purpose!
Taste: Tart blackcurrant
Detox, body cleansing and metabolism acceleration
Although our body is involved in synthesising, digesting and cleaning various substances on a daily basis and can handle it on its own in the big picture, we can support and speed up these processes.
Detox superfood mix supports you with 7 different superfoods – cranberry and pohl of Estonian origin, which are rich sources of vitamin C. For centuries, cranberry juice has been used in folk medicine to relieve inflammation of the urinary tract, in addition, vitamin C contributes to normal energy metabolism. Green smoothie favourites spirulina and chlorella are freshwater algae that are both excellent sources of vitamins, minerals and plant-based protein. Both algae have been used as metabolism boosters for years. The pea protein powder in the mixture contains a sufficient amount of almost all essential amino acids and is a good filling addition to smoothies.
Be More Detox superfood mix tastes and smells milder than most detox mixes. The strong taste of chlorella and spirulina is softened by cranberry and cranberry, lemongrass adds a refreshing lemon taste and smell to the mixture.
Taste: Characteristic of algae, tempered by tart berries and citrus
To support training
Five superfoods and three protein sources in the Be Fit superfood mix help the body recover faster from physical activity. Pea and hemp protein together contain all essential amino acids, which are the basis for tissues, muscles and enzymes. Goji berry contains vitamin C, which contributes to energy metabolism and the normal functioning of the immune system. Hemp seeds contain both omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids.
Thanks to raw cocoa, the Be Fit superfood mixture has a delicate cocoa taste that successfully hides the taste of protein powders and is therefore well suited as an addition to a smoothie to be consumed quickly before training if you don’t want to eat a lot. For a healthier alternative, it can also be added to a cocoa drink. Be Fit contains 46 grams of plant-based protein per 100 grams.
Be Sporty protein powder is designed for extra good training, containing 67 grams of plant-based protein per 100 grams. A 100% natural and vegan protein powder mix with superfoods will support you during and after training. No need to worry about the unpleasant taste of the protein powder, because the granadilla, blackcurrant and lemon in the mix give it a tropical flavour and, as a bonus, vitamins! Be Sporty has a high content of vitamins C and K and is a good source of potassium, which contributes to normal muscle function.
Taste: Be Fit cocoa; Be Sporty tropically fruity
Beautiful skin, hair and nails
Thinking extra about women, Be Beautiful supports external beauty – clear facial skin, healthy hair and nails. Estonian rose hips and raspberries are excellent sources of vitamin C, which contributes to the normal formation of collagen in the skin and protects cells from oxidative stress. The exotic acai berry and its health-promoting properties have caused an explosion in demand for the berry in the US and around the world. In the limelight is the amount of anthocyanin in the berry, which is a powerful antioxidant. Oil sage or chia seeds contain both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
Taste: Slightly sour rosehip and raspberry taste
