In fact, detox nutrition has a much greater effect on the body. Detox is actually a process of detoxifying the body, not a method of losing weight, although eating healthy can also lead to losing excess weight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our body has an amazing capacity to rid itself of harmful substances. We take in toxins daily through eating natural plant toxins. We are exposed to toxicants (man-made toxins) through pesticide residue, air pollution, skin care products, and medications. Plus, our bodies all break down and eliminate substances made and used within ourselves. Detoxification is also designed to inactivate and balance hormones.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>We need to detoxify ourselves 1-2 times a year.<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is widely believed that a detox diet should be done from time to time to perform extensive internal cleansing. However, our body needs a major cleansing every day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each day, every day, and all through the night, your organs of detoxification are designed to collect the waste products sent from every cell, transform them into something less toxic, and ultimately eliminate these from the body.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bemore.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/DSC_0085-scaled-e1611667552538.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-70306 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/bemore.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/DSC_0085-scaled-e1611667726967-1024x689.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"689\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4><b>Detoxification happens only in the bathroom.<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A successful detox diet is often associated with how many times during the day we have to visit the bathroom. In reality, the detox process in the body is more diverse and exciting, and the need to visit the toilet is only related to the last phase of detox. So what happens in the body during detoxification?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your body breaks down harmful substances in three stage process:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Phase I breaks apart big toxins and makes them into smaller and even more toxic molecules. Most of this takes place in the liver, which is the body\u2019s main organ for detoxification. In phase I our body needs B vitamins, folic acid, glutathione, antioxidants, carotenoids, vitamin E, vitamin C.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Substances need to be water soluble to be eliminated via feces, urine and sweat. Phase II neutralizes these toxic molecules from phase I and makes them water soluble so they can be excreted. In phase II our body needs amino acids and sulphurated phytochemicals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After a toxin passes through Phase II, it needs to be excreted from the body. You can promote elimination by staying hydrated (peeing it out) and by normal bowel movements (pooping regularly). Additionally, some substances can be eliminated through sweat, so a sauna and exercise can be beneficial for elimination.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><b>Extreme and one sided dieting or fasting is needed for detoxification.<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is a tendency to believe that detoxification occurs while fasting on water or following an extreme diet, such as a cabbage diet. In different stages of detoxification, our body uses many different nutrients. In order for the body to be able to carry out all the detox phases effectively, as many different nutrients as possible are needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Healthy mainly plant based diet, with added superfoods and plenty of water is great for supporting every day detoxification processes. Smoothies are an easy way to add nutritious berries and superfoods to your meals. And it is\u2014unless you drink too much of it. Though most people <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">look out for the signs of dehydration<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, overhydration is equally as dangerous. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Drinking too much water can result in water intoxication<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.If you\u2019re drinking a healthy amount of water, the color of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">your urine should be straw-colored to transparent yellow<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
